US President Trump announced that he will be skipping the annual White House Correspondents' Association (WHCA) dinner in Washington and will hold a campaign rally instead, CBS News reported.

The US President criticized the upcoming event and said that he did not want to attend it "because the dinner is so boring and too negative."

Trump noted that he likes "positive things."

The president also stated that the location of the rally is yet to be determined, but he noted that "it'll be a big one."
