Armenian Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany Ashot Smbatyan visited Bavaria on Wednesday, the MFA press service reported.

During the visit, the Ambassador was received by the President of the Bavarian Landtag, Ilse Aigner and the Deputy Prime Minister Hubert Aiwanger.

The interlocutors touched upon the further deepening of parliamentary cooperation, as well as the prospects of expanding economic cooperation between Armenia and Bavaria. The spheres of IT, tourism and winemaking were especially highlighted.

The ambassador also met with Goethe-Institute's Secretary General, Johannes Ebert in Munich. Stressing the importance of the activities of the Goethe Center in Yerevan, the sides underscored the necessity of raising the cooperation to a qualitatively new level.
