Hundreds of anti-government protesters in black shirts on Friday launched a sit-in in the arrivals hall of Hong Kong International Airport. The action will last three days, local television broadcasts, TASS reported.

Following from their correspondence in the Telegram channel, the participants chant slogans and hand out leaflets to passengers with information about the crisis in the metropolis and promised not to commit acts of vandalism, not to disrupt the operation of the airport and not to try to enter restricted areas.

The airborne administration said the airport will operate normally these days, but with enhanced security measures.

Two months ago, massive protests broke out here against a bill initiated by local authorities, which aims to establish a mechanism for the extradition from Hong Kong to mainland China for the prosecution of people suspected of violating Chinese laws or wanted. Under pressure from the local community, Carrie Lam, the head of the local administration, took the bill off the agenda, but this did not stop the wave of anti-government protests.
