Ramiz Mehdiyev dismissed as head of the presidential administration. The corresponding decision was signed by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on October 23, Azerbaijani media reported.
The dismissal of Mehdiyev fits into the framework of the action launched by the Azerbaijani authorities to “rejuvenate” the staff. Earlier, Aliyev called on all officials “over 70” to retire.
