Turkish media accuse the adviser to the Turkish President and the ex-deputy of the Turkish parliament Gulsen Orhan's over the death of 33 rescuers under an avalanche that came down on Wednesday in eastern Turkey, RIA Novosti reported.

Advisor to the President, Mrs. Orhan, contrary to the warning of the rescuers, ordered to clear the road of snow, since the delegation led by her was heading from the event in a neighboring area along the road located in the exit zone of the first avalanche, said Bulent Aydemir, a HaberTurk correspondent, on the air of the channel.

According to him, Orhan ordered to put ahead 4-5 snowplows to clear the road closed from the risk of avalanches from the snow. The noise and vibration of the air from the working machines caused a new avalanche, which covered the lifeguards.

Earlier, Van provincial governor Mehmet Emin Bilmez said at least three minibus passengers were killed and two were missing as a result of the avalanche in the Bahcesaray region. On Wednesday, local authorities informed that a new avalanche had covered five vehicles with more than 50 rescue personnel working at the scene. The Turkish emergencies authority reported that another 26 people died and 75 were injured. President Tayyip Erdogan said later the death toll has increased to 33 people.
