American entrepreneur Jeff Bezos acquired a $ 165 million estate in Beverly Hills, California, The Wall Street Journal reported.

The deal hits a record for the Los Angeles area.

Bezos bought estate from media mogul David Geffen without the involvement of real estate agents. There is a tennis court, a golf course, several gardens and houses.

According to the newspaper, Geffen bought the estate in 1990 for $ 47.5 million.

Bezos’s fortune exceeds $ 132 billion, Bloomberg reported. It ranks first in the agency’s list of the richest people in the world.

Amazon's capitalization currently exceeds $ 1 trillion. Bezos also owns the Blue Origin aerospace company. In 2013, he acquired The Washington Post for $ 250 million.
