YEREVAN. “The current situation in Armenia, the presence of such opposition plays into the hands of the incumbent authorities on the eve of parliamentary elections in the country. Though I am sure this balance will be upset in autumn or spring,” former Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly Tigran Torosyan said in an interview with “168 Zham” newspaper. He referred to the dialogue between the incumbent authorities and the Armenian National Congress (ANC).

According to him, a new turn of events are expected, as no party will be satisfied with this balance.

“Today both the authorities and the ANC are trying to circumvent each other, hoping it will facilitate their activities in upcoming elections,” Torosyan said.
