President of the House of Representatives of Cyprus Marios Garoyian called Turkey an international terrorist. He called on Turkey to recognize the Armenian Genocide and apologize to the Armenian people and all humanity, “Nouvelles dArménie” reports.
The official stressed the responsibility of the international community at the event dedicated to the 96th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide in Pera Horio-Nisu village on May 11, on the initiative of local school teacher Levon Ghazanjyan
“If Turkey were punished for this great crime, Turkey’s invasion into Cyprus might have not happened. Unfortunately, no denunciation of the Armenian Genocide by the world community increases Ankara’s intransigence, which is trying to impose its rules on its neighbor with its military power,” he emphasized.
“Unless Turkey remains unpunished and the Armenian Genocide and ethnic cleansings of other peoples unrecognized, the international community should not be proud, as it is involved in this crime,” the diplomat stressed.
