President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko thanked his Armenian counterpart Serzh Sargsyan for cooperation and response to their proposals, Lukashenko stated at the meeting with Armenia’s Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan, Interfax reports.

According to him, the political relations have underpinned economic ties. “Any talks without an economic component are of no significance,” he noted.  Meanwhile, Lukashneko noted that Armenia is on the threshold of elections and wished the country to overcome the period easily.

In his turn, Tigran Sargsyan noted that they had an in-depth discussion on Armenian-Belarusian relations. “I am certain such a high-level political dialogue assumed that the economic component should be completely realized,” he said.
