YEREVAN. – Armenia is holding negotiations with Georgia on opening of consulate in Samtskhe-Javakhk, said Sergey Manasaryan, Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister.

He noted that there is no precise decision so far as approval of both sides is necessary.

“The issue is in the limelight of foreign office,” Manasaryan said in parliament.

Javakhk (Georgian name – Javakheti) is an Armenian-populated part of Georgia’s southeastern Samtskhe-Javakheti province.
