Finland will ease travel restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic to resume business travel and boost tourism ahead of winter, Reuters reported.

In this regard, the country has lifted travel restrictions for countries with higher levels of COVID-19 infection, including Sweden.

Earlier, Finland closed its borders to countries with infection rates of more than 8-10 people per 100,000 population.

From September 19, this restriction will be softened: now the entry into Finland will be open to countries with an infection rate of 25 cases per 100,000 population.

People from countries with higher levels of coronavirus will also be allowed to enter if they have a negative test result.
