Former servicemen Colonel Viktor M., participant of Karabakh war, shot to death his family and then committed a suicide in the Ukrainian city of Donetsk.
The 70-year-old pensioner first killed his wife, then 25-year-old granddaughter and son-in-law. Then, he tried to kill his daughter but she managed to pull the gun.
Law enforcers stormed the building when he killed himself with a knife.
“He participated in Karabakh and Chechnya wars, was a professor at Law Institute before retiring,” law enforcers told Ukrainian Segodnya.ua website.
They stressed the reason for murder was Viktor’s mental health. He left a message saying “I cannot live this way anymore.”
