Assyrian Erol Doran, an independent candidate from Kurdish Peace and Democracy Party, entered Turkish parliament for the first time in country’s history.

Parliamentary ejections were held in Turkey on Sunday. Ruling Justice and Development Party polled 49.9% of votes, Republican-People’s Party – 25.9%, while Nationalist Movement – 13%.

Thirty-five MPs from Kurdish Peace and Democracy entered the parliament as well.
