In recent months, businessmen, magnates, high-ranking politicians, and members of the royal family are traveling to the UAE to be vaccinated against the coronavirus, writes the Swiss newspaper Neue Zürcher Zeitung.

Officially, not only the people living in that country, but also those who will pay enough money, or have good relations with the royal house, are vaccinated there.

While most countries are still closed to tourists, Dubai has opened its borders since July last year. The COVID-19 pandemic has hit hard the economy of the Emirates, which earns a third of its GDP through tourism.

There are even innovators who already offer special tours for the super-rich.

The Financial Times writes that in recent months, many wealthy Lebanese, Indians and Pakistanis have traveled to Dubai for vaccination. Some presumably have even set up offshore companies. Senior officials from Lebanon, Georgia, and other countries have already been vaccinated at major vaccination centers in Dubai.
