Human Rights Watch (HRW) called the Azerbaijani authorities to stop expropriating citizens’ houses to modernize Baku with new buildings, Nouvelles d`Arménie quotes France-Press.
“Baku destroys houses and lives with its decoration projects,” told HRW representative Jane Buchanan.
Hundreds of people lost their houses as a result of destruction. Azerbaijani authorities and contractors set up the projects of luxurious buildings financed on behalf of oil and gas recourses.
