Nine universities in eleven countries carry out Armenian Studies development programs. This is what Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Armenia Vahram Dumanyan told reporters today.
Dumanyan stated that the Moscow State Institute for International Relations, La Sapienza University in Rome, Cairo University and universities in Uruguay launched such programs in 2021.
The minister mentioned that the strengthening of the foundations for teaching of Armenian language, history and culture, the work with Armenian teachers abroad and the holding of pan-Armenian events are among the priorities.
“This year, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport transferred over 44,000 copies of books to more than 100 educational institutions in 18 countries,” Dumanyan added and informed that in 2022 Armenia will host the International Biology Olympiad and is preparing to host the Starmus Festival.
