At the moment, Mitsimi village locals of Lagodehki region (Georgia) blocked the highway to Azerbaijan. As Kakheti Human Rights Protection Center informs, the protesters have disposed at Lagodekhi customs near the Georgia-Azerbaijan border.

The locals demand water supply to the village maintaining that 120 thousand Lari was earmarked from state budget to tackle the issue. The workers – who tried to mend the system, did defective work, leaving a matter open.

Head of Lagodekhi Municipality arrived to the picketers and requested to open the traffic flow. However, the picketers stood their ground. Patrol forces were summoned to the spot to restore the traffic by force, Caucasus-Press informs.
