A number of circumstances have been ascertained regarding hooliganism by a group of people and interfering with the legal service activities of the policemen at the yard of a Yerevan court, the Investigative Committee of Armenia informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

According to preliminary information, on August 22, an incident occurred at the yard of this court between the supporters of the persons participating in an ongoing criminal trial in the aforesaid court, during which a group of persons swore loudly and hit several parked cars and their passengers with their hands and feet.

This was noticed by the police officers on duty at the area. They approached these persons and demanded not to violate the public order and to stop these illegal actions.

But in response to this legal demand of the police, the above-mentioned persons cursed at them, one of them hit a police officer, and then they ran away.

Six of the persons who committed this crime have been identified, against whom decisions have been made to launch public criminal proceedings.

Also, a criminal charge was filed against them.

It was decided to remand these six persons in custody, and three of them have been declared wanted.

The criminal investigation is in progress.
