Armenian News-NEWS.am has learned that Zorik Melkonyan, 46, who is accused of murdering a 35-year-old woman and stabbing two people in Arzakan village of Armenia’s Kotayk Province on August 27, and another person in Balahovit village three days later, is still wanted.

At around 5:10am on August 27, a call was received from Kotayk Province that a person with "multiple puncture-cut wounds of the neck and abdomen, hemorrhagic shock" was taken to the hospital, and a short time later, another person with "a puncture-cut wound in the upper third of the right forearm" was also taken to the hospital.

It was found out that the two injured are Arzakan village residents Avetik A., 57, and Anahit A., 53. According to reports, at around 3:30am on the same day, Zorik Melkonyan had entered the bedroom of the house of Avetik A. and Anahit A., and beaten and stabbed them.

The police went to Melkonyan's house, where a woman's dead body with her neck partially cut was found on the bedroom bed.

We learned that three days after this incident, Zorik Melkonyan went to Balahovit village and killed Sos Gevorgyan, 34, and stabbed Artur Manukyan, 32.

Proceedings under the Criminal Code articles on attempted murder, violation of the inviolability of the dwelling, and murder by a close relative have been launched in connection with this incident.

The law enforcement officers have not found Zorik Melkonyan yet.
