ANKARA. - Proposal of Turkish judges and prosecutors raised a wave of protests in Turkish press.
The Supreme Council of Judges and Prosecutors of Turkey put forward a scandalous sentence, the essence of which lies in reducing the burden on prosecutors and judges in terms of releasing rapists from criminal liability if they agree to marry their victims. This proposal will be sent to the Ministry of Justice of Turkey and the legislative body, reports Turkish Radikal.
