Six Turkish soldiers were killed and another eleven wounded by Kurdish rebels in the province of Siirt.
Kurds started an attack on Saturday evening firing at the checkpoint of gendarmerie. Prior to the attack members of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) turned off electricity in the region. Their snipers killed the soldier who was on duty in the checkpoint.
