Seven Turkish pilgrims returning to Turkey through Syria were arrested by Syrian soldiers.

As the Turkish Bugun website informs the pilgrims stayed under arrest for 5 days after which they informed their relatives by phone they were already free and were in Turkey.

According to them, as they reached Turkey’s border the Syrian soldiers asked them to cross the border from another place and one of the pilgrims filmed the soldiers with his cell phone.

Noticing this, the Syrian soldiers arrested them on charges of spying.
