The Turkish Supreme Council of Radio and Television signed a resolution Nov. 12 for the 24-hour broadcasting service in local languages, TRT informs.
The relevant proposal was submitted to Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s office. According to the source, due to the draft law the share of foreign capital (which made up 25%) will grow till 50% in the total capital of broadcasting organizations.
The new draft law will be considered by Turkish parliamentary commission and the General Assembly.
