YEREVAN. – Armenian National Assembly’s (NA) newly-elect Speaker, Samvel Nikoyan, edited his predecessor Hovik Abrahamyan’s mistake, Chorrord Inknishkhanutyun daily writes.    

“After becoming NA Speaker, Abrahamyan made changes in the rule with respect to the activities of journalists who are accredited in the Parliament. [Until now] The journalists could freely enter NA only on the days of four-day [sessions]. This was done along the lines of fight against journalists who roam about NA corridors. [But] It became apparent yesterday [Monday] that on December 9 NA Speaker Samvel Nikoyan signed a decision, according to which a change was made in NA Speaker’s decision dated August 21, 2009. So, the accredited journalist may now freely enter NA on work days and during those events, which are held on no-work days, and which are announced by NA Public and Media Relations Department,” Chorrord Inknishkhanutyun writes.
