YEREVAN. – A call was received Monday that a car accident occurred, at Dzoraghbyur village of Armenia’s Kotayk Region, and as a result there were injuries and a rescue effort was in need.  

It became apparent that a Mercedes had gone off road and crashed into a tree on the side of the road. 

The firefighters and the rescuers, who were dispatched to the scene, removed from the vehicle its driver, capital Yerevan resident V. Tovmasyan (born in 1977), who was taken to hospital.

Tovmasyan is in critical condition, Ministry of Emergency Situations Press Service informed.
