The statement Armenia’s first President, Chairman of the Armenian National Congress (ANC) Levon Ter-Petrosyan made on November 11 was obviously an offer of cooperation to the authorities, Artsvik Minasyan, a Parliament member of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF), told reporters. He stressed that Ter-Petrosyan was once more critical of the ARF.

“His offering cooperation to the authorities weakens the Opposition, which will cause harm to the Armenian nation, while the authorities will have get even more freedom of action,” Minasyan said. He also stated that the ARF has no ideological alternative and actually “has greater potential than some think it has.”
