College students in northern Poland celebrated Christmas Eve by displaying swastika-shaped gingerbread cookies and singing Nazi carols instead of Christmas carols, reports Gazeta Wyborcza daily.

The incident took place on December 20, at a vocational school in Inowroclaw. During the celebratory class, students in one class set off firecrackers, displayed swastika-shaped gingerbread cookies which were probably baked during class, sang Nazi songs, and made the Nazi salute. The incident was recorded on video and posted on social media.

In response to the incident, the aforesaid educational institution reported that appropriate measures were taken against the students who participated in it, and the videos from this event were sent to the police.

Under the Polish law, propaganda of Nazism is punishable by up to three years in prison.
