Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukraine seeks to sit at the negotiating table as soon as possible to achieve a reliable peace. He wrote about this in social network X, writes RBC-Ukraine.

“No one wants peace more than Ukrainians. My team and I are ready to work under the strong leadership of President Trump to achieve lasting peace. We are ready to work quickly to end the war,” Zelensky wrote.

The Ukrainian president outlined the first possible steps to resolving the conflict: the release of prisoners, an immediate truce in the skies - banning missiles, long-range drones and attacks on civilian infrastructure - and a cessation of hostilities at sea if Russia does the same.

He said Ukraine hopes to move quickly through the next steps and negotiate a strong final agreement with the United States.

Zelensky also expressed gratitude to the US for its support, recalling the transfer of Javelins to Ukraine under Trump's presidency.

“Our meeting in Washington, at the White House, on Friday did not go as expected. It's a shame that it did. It's time to make things right. We would like to see future cooperation and communication be constructive. As for the agreement on minerals and security, Ukraine is ready to sign it at any time and in any convenient format. We see this agreement as a step towards strengthening security and reliable security guarantees, and I sincerely hope that it will work effectively,” the Ukrainian president said.
