The Argentine government has declassified and publicized archival materials that shed light on the activities of Nazi criminals who found refuge in Argentina after World War II.

Of these documents, a particularly noteworthy one is a dossier compiled by Argentine intelligence on Josef Mengele, a doctor known for his inhuman experiments on concentration camp prisoners.

“The collection includes more than 1,850 documents collected in 7 dossiers,” the description of the publicized archive said.

The portal, in particular, contains materials on the case of Adolf Eichmann, who was brought out of Argentina by Israeli intelligence as a result of a secret operation, as well as information about concentration camp guard Eduard Roschmann and Gestapo officer Walter Kutschmann.

Previously, declassified documents by the CIA had revealed a ten-year operation by US intelligence to find Adolf Hitler after his death was officially confirmed. The article noted that CIA agents suspected Hitler of possibly fleeing to South America under another name.
