YEREVAN. – In December 2011, Armenia’s Finance Ministry inspected the past-three-year financial activities of the Diaspora Ministry, and it did not come across any violation and misuse, and this is the Diaspora Ministry’s first achievement, Minister Hranush Hakobyan stated during a press conference on Wednesday.

As per Hakobyan, the Diaspora Ministry’s second greatest accomplishment is the fact that, in the case when a mere 3,000 people had become dual citizens in 2007-2008, this number is now close to 30 thousand, whose fifty percent was in 2011 alone.

And the Armenian Diaspora Ministry’s third important achievement, according to the Minister, is that the Ministry assisted the Economy Ministry in the tourism sector, and now there is a 20-25-percent growth in Armenia’s tourism.
