On November 18, officers of the Head Department for Organized Crime Control arrested Liparit Sahakyan, investigator at the Investigation Service of the RA Ministry of Defense.

The press service of the RA Ministry of Defense told NEWS.am that on November 4, 2009, Sahakyan demanded a U.S. $2,000 bribe from A. Tovmasyan for dismissing his case. The same day Tovmasyan gave Sahakyan part of the sum, U.S. $600. On November 18, while receiving the rest U.S. $1,400, Sahalkyan was arrested. Criminal proceedings were initiated, and the Special Investigation Service is conducting investigation.
