The contract on supply of 10 Heron unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) to Turkey is annulled by Turkish side, Hurriyet daily reports November 21.

According to the source, this decision by Turkish Government will cost the country as much as U.S. $200m. Turkish aerospace industries company (TAI) was instructed to inform of the deal cancellation.

Hurriyet says, the information will be officially announced on November 21.

Last week Turkish Zaman daily reported about the technical problems connected with UAVs supply under the contract signed in 2005. Presently, the sides discuss the size of compensation to be paid to Israel.
