Belarus ranks first in CIS states on U.S. dollar rate growth against national currency in 2009, registering rise of 26.45% (from 2.200 to 2.782 RUB). Tajikistan comes next with 26.11% increase (from 3.4519 to 4.3532 Somoni), followed by Armenia – with 25.77% (from 306.73 to 385.76 AMD).

In Kazakhstan the rate raised by 23.14% (from 120.77 to 148.72 tenge), Kyrgyzstan – 11.43% (from 39.4181 to 43.9220 Som), Uzbekistan — 8,22% (from 1.393 to 1.507.55 Som), Moldova – 6.79% (from 10.4002 to 11.1059 Leu), Ukraine – 3.65% (from 7.7000 to 7.9809 grivna), Russia – 1.49% (from 29.3804 to 29.8179 RUB), Georgia – 0.44% (from 1.6670 to 1.6743 Lari) and Azerbaijan – 0.17% (from 0.8010 to 0.8024 manat). The U.S. dollar rate in Turkmenistan remained unchanged — 2.85 manat.
