Iran stated that the seized British crew would face “serious” punishment, Times reports. Last week the yacht with five-member British crew was captured by Iran as they accidentally crossed Iranian waters, sailing from Bahrain to Dubai. The yachtsmen were intending to participate in the race.
According to the source, Iran would use strict measures if it appears that the British crossed the waters with “evil intensions.”
However, in his interview with BBC, UK Foreign Secretary David Miliband said that it is not “confrontation or argument”, adding that “these people are being well treated”.
