November 30, 2009 the Ambassador of Argentina to Lebanon Jose Jiares Maxwell visited His Holiness Aram I in Antelias. They talked about the situation in Lebanon and the newly appointed government of consensus, the Armenian community in Argentina and Armenia-Turkey Protocols.
The Ambassador told His Holiness that relations between Argentina and Turkey have often been strained because of Argentina's unconditional support of the Armenian Genocide.
