YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Tsovak village residents Nver Harutyunyan, 42, and Artur Vardanyan, 25, who are believed to have drowned in Lake Sevan, have not been found thus far.
The water rescuers conducted search activities on Wednesday between 2:45pm and 5:45pm, but to no avail, the Ministry of Emergency Situations informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
Due to adverse weather conditions, however, the search was temporarily called off at 6pm.
To note, Harutyunyan and Vardanyan had gone into Lake Sevan with a motor boat on the same day at around 6am, and, according to preliminary information, they drowned. The missing are fishermen, and the jacket of one of them was found about one kilometer away from the shore.
