YEREVAN. – The Council of Europe supports democratic reforms in Armenia, president of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Liliane Maury Pasquier said in Yerevan.

PACE president noted that Council of Europe’s readiness to support democratic reforms was confirmed during meetings in Yerevan. At the same time they touched upon certain challenges and tasks, such as xenophobia, gender equality and fight against nationalism and racism, that Europe is facing.

Liliane Maury Pasquier said they all have to work jointly to make the future more peaceful and safe.

After the briefing PACE president participated in tree planting ceremony in National Assembly’s park.
