At the Iranian request, the Russian Emergency Ministry together with the Armenian Emergency Ministry have started delivering humanitarian aid to Iranian victims of large-scale floods, the Russian Emergencies Ministry's press service told RIA Novosti.

According to the source, the cargo included tents, blankets and folding beds - a total of over 4 thousand items of material resources purchased at the Russian expense in the replenished humanitarian reserve of the Russian-Armenian center.

As reported earlier, flood victims in Iran exceeded 70 people. The disaster affected tens of thousands of residents and, according to Iranian media, about 1.9 thousand cities and villages in the country.
