Today's targeting of civilians performing agricultural work in Artsakh's Khramort village is yet another proof of the policy of ethnic hatred and genocidal policy pursued by Azerbaijan against the people of Artsakh, Artsakh Ombudsman Gegham Stepanyan wrote on his Facebook .

He particularly noted: "According to the information received by the Office of the Ombudsman of Artsakh, the incident was recorded on November 5 at about 12:30 in a field located in the administrative territory of the Khramort village of the Askeran region of Artsakh.

As a result of the shooting the Belarus tractor belonging to Stepanakert resident K. Martirosyan was damaged, no civilian casualties were caused. Agricultural work has been completely halted because of the shelling.

Speaking about peace and making false promises about the rights and security of the people of Artsakh, the Azerbaijani authorities and armed forces continue their criminal policy, which leads to widespread violations of the most basic rights of Artsakh people and undermines their physical and psychological security.

We have repeatedly noted that the military strongholds adjacent to peaceful settlements represent a direct threat to the lives and other elementary rights of civilians, the threatening consequences of which we have repeatedly witnessed since the establishment of the ceasefire.

Azerbaijan's policy of ethnic hatred and genocide has not changed and will not change. What is being done under the guise of false peace is aimed at misleading the international community and blunting the vigilance of our society."
