Economic growth has accelerated in Armenia. Babken Tunyan, a member of the ruling majority "Civil Contract" Faction and Deputy Chair of the Standing Committee on Economic Affairs of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia (RA), stated this on Facebook.
"According to the RA Statistical Committee data, in the 3rd quarter of 2022, compared to the same quarter of the previous year, Armenia's GDP increased by 14.8%.
The growth accelerated during the year. In the 1st quarter it was 8.7%, in the 2nd—13%.
In the third quarter, the construction sector grew the fastest—by 19.9%.
Trade and services sector grew by 19.1%, industry—by 11.1%.
The amount of agricultural products decreased by 0.1% during the reporting period," Tunyan added.
