Moldovan Foreign and European Integration Minister Nikolai Popescu intends to protest to Russian ambassador to Chisinau Oleg Vasnetsov over Wednesday's power failure in the republic, TASS reported.

Popescu urged that the Russian ambassador to Moldova be summoned to the Foreign Ministry to strongly protest the bombing of Ukraine's civil infrastructure, which caused power outages in Moldova, the country's Foreign Ministry Telegram channel reported

On Wednesday, there was an emergency shutdown of Moldova's power supply system, as well as the Moldovan TPP that supplies electricity to Transnistria. Water supply was cut off in some towns and mobile communication was lost. Andrei Spinu, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development, informed that the accident occurred due to malfunctions in the energy system of Ukraine, with which the Moldovan one is connected.

By this time, the light began to be gradually returned to the cities. According to energy specialists, it will take several hours to fully restore power supply.
