It is with great regret that I learned about the ratification of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court by the Armenian parliament, stated Yury Vorobyov, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Federation Council.

"This decision is perceived as an unfriendly act towards our leader, Russian Federation President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin," Vorobyov added on Telegram.

He noted that this decision of the Armenian parliamentarians destroys the constructive and trusting relations that were formed within the framework of the activities by the Russian-Armenian parliamentary committee.

"But I am sure that no force will succeed in destroying the age-old friendship of the Russian and Armenian peoples," Vorobyov added.

As reported earlier, the Armenian National Assembly ratified the Rome Statute today.
