Charles Michel, the head of the European Council, is persistently working to organize a meeting between the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan during the European Political Community summit scheduled for October 5 in Granada, Spain. A senior EU representative in Brussels shared this information with reporters.
According to TASS, regarding the possibility of such a meeting, the diplomat stated that it's too early to confirm but indicated that there should be clarity on this matter before the night of October 4.
The EU aims to arrange the meeting in a "two plus three" format, involving Armenia, Azerbaijan, as well as France, Germany, and the European Council. The objective is to make progress toward normalizing relations between Baku and Yerevan, despite the challenging situation on the ground.
