Armenia's ambassador to the Holy See, Boris Sahakyan, met with Andrea Monda, the director and editor-in-chief of L'Osservatore Romano, the official Vatican newspaper, the Embassy of Armenia in the Holy See informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.
During the meeting, further cooperation was discussed in publicizing the rich Christian Armenian historical and cultural heritage, which is part of the shared Christian heritage, and raising awareness about the dangers that threaten it.
In this regard, it was emphasized how important it is to never distort the identity of cultural heritage and places of worship, as well as historical facts that are undeniable and recognized by the international community, including the academic community.
To note, L'Osservatore Romano, the official Vatican newspaper, recently published an article in which Dadivank, Gandzasar, and Khatravank Monasteries, the most important monuments of Armenian heritage in Nagorno-Karabakh, were depicted as of "Caucasus Albanian" heritage. The author of this article is Rosella Fabiani, who talks about her visits to Azerbaijan in the article and notes that she visited “Garabagh” as well and got familiarized with the famous monasteries of "Caucasus Albanian" heritage there.
