Thousands of protesters took to the streets in Copenhagen, where the 2009 UN Climate Change Conference is convened. December 16, when the world leaders arrived in Copenhagen to participate in the climate talks, about 150 demonstrators were arrested, British Guardian writes.

The protestors opposed the deadlock in climate deal talks involving 193 nations. Some activists claimed they would try to re-gain the entrance and break into Conference hall.

December 16, world leaders including U.S. President Barack Obama are expected to arrive at the 12-day talks which enter final stage. After lasting fruitless debates, the negotiators will try to reach a new global warming deal.
