YEREVAN. – Armenia’s opposition Republic Party leader Aram Sargsyan was in the United States in recent weeks and held political meetings in Washington DC., Zhamanak daily reports.

“Aram Sargsyan had talks with the US political circles, [and] held meetings at the Department of State, the White House, [and] Security Council bodies.

‘The view that the US is busy with its own problems, its own presidential elections, [that] it has numerous problems in the Middle East, Afghanistan, etc. and [therefore] has no time for Armenia, is definitely a lie; that isn’t so,’ Aram Sargsyan told Zhamanak adding that those [in the US] who are dealing with Armenia deal with it every day and are paid for this,” Zhamanak writes.
