Armenian community of Marseille likewise marks Yerevan anniversary

YEREVAN. – Armenian capital city Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan met with Garo Hovsepian, prefect of the 13th and 14th arrondissements (districts) of Marseille, France, who is in Yerevan to attend the Erebuni-Yerevan 2794th Anniversary celebrations.    

The Mayor highly appreciated the friendship and cooperation between Yerevan and Marseille and stressed his readiness to expand it further, Yerevan Municipality Information and Public Relations Department informs.         

“The cooperation proposals are already presented according to the agreement reached along the lines of my visit to Marseille. Also, we stand ready to discuss concrete cooperation projects,” Taron Margaryan noted, and he extended his thanks to Hovsepian for the latter’s activities conducted in the Armenian diaspora.  

In his turn, Garo Hovsepian noted that the Armenian community of Marseille likewise marks the Yerevan anniversary with great display.

Subsequently, a memorandum of understanding on cooperation was signed between Yerevan’s Avan Administrative District and Marseille’s 13th and 14th arrondissements. Mayor Taron Margaryan stressed that the aforesaid district and arrondissements will commence cooperation and it will be possible to implement joint projects.
