YEREVAN. – The statues of Armenian duduk masters Djivan Gasparyan, Vache Hovsepyan and Levon Madoyan will be placed next April in downtown of capital city Yerevan, Haykakan Zhamanak daily reports.  

“The Arts Commission of the Mayor’s Urban Development Council already approved the sketch of sculptor Davit Minasyan’s ‘The Three Duduk Players’ sculpture. The sculpture will be a made out of bronze and stone.

The duduk master himself, Djivan Gasparyan, told our reporter that he would not want his statue to appear among those clay-made statues that are being placed in different parts of the capital city recently. The well-known duduk player said he wants to have a lasting monument,” Haykakan Zhamanak writes.
