YEREVAN. – The launch of renowned Egyptian-Armenian public figure Berdj Terzian’s book, which is devoted to the opening of Armenia’s Embassy in Egypt, was held on October 20 at the Armenian MFA, the latter’s press service informs.

Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian addressed the event. He noted that Terzian was an eyewitness to founding of the Embassy and, also, he greatly contributed to the Embassy’s activities. Nalbandian stressed that the Armenian and Egyptian people have close relations and are linked with one another through friendship and goodwill.

“Twenty years have passed since the establishment of diplomatic ties between Armenia and Egypt and the cooperation has progressed since then. When I read the book, I relived the events [that unfolded] about twenty years ago. Twenty years later, we have in Cairo one of Armenia’s most influential embassies. This book is also a tribute to representatives of the Egyptian-Armenian community that has always been at the Embassy’s side. Today likewise I would like to extend a gratitude to all of our compatriots living in Egypt,” Edward Nalbandian specifically said in his address.
