YEREVAN. – “Get married, get divorced; it’s your business,” Armenian National Assembly (NA) Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov told news reporters on Monday commenting on the ongoing disagreements within the NA’s opposition Heritage Faction, which comprises MPs from the Heritage and the Free Democrats parties.   

“I did not expect this, yet this was one of the options. The disagreements within the faction were apparent during the voting on matters,” Sharmazanov noted.   

Also, he stated that the faction members must have a unanimous view, but this was not the case with Heritage. “[And] Proceeding from this, one can guess [as to] the future fate of this faction. I am against any artificial phenomenon, whether it be a marriage, or a political union,” the NA Parliament vice chair stated.    

Also, Eduard Sharmazanov said those NA factiuons with internal disagreements have no chances of nominating a presidential candidate because the people will hardly take a candidate of such political force seriously.
